Lina De Florias Moves to Houston

That is too bad for us!!! Good for her. Houston is a bigger market. Just a question. Why do all the good anchors leave to better places and the ones who make my skin crawl stick around?

This might be pure speculation. Based on some of her comments on weekend GMAZ, I'm wondering if Lina is a church-going person. If so, working weekend mornings may have presented the problem of not being able to attend church regularly. She started out on weekend evenings on 3TV, but later was switched to weekend mornings when they promoted Jared to weekend evening anchor.

Again, this is just speculation, but could be a deciding factor for some.
 
I've been behind on posting, meant to write this up on August 5, which was Lina's last day. I watch a lot of GMAZ weekend but not all. I heard Lina and Jamie Cerreta talk briefly about it on Saturday (8/4) and that was the first I heard of Lina leaving. I don't follow either (or most of TV personalities) on Facebook or Twitter.

I can't say that I've noticed about Lina's religion. When I watched her on weekend evenings, I thought she was very 'cheery' and had a lot of energy. I thought she'd be better in mornings.

Jamie said that it was a "surprise" where Lina would end up. And there isn't a named replacement yet. This makes me wonder how much notice 3TV had.

OK, I guess I wasn't watching weekend GMAZ at that specific time. As for her religion, I'm just speculating. I noticed several times on weekend GMAZ where she told a chef that she couldn't eat anything with alcohol. The first time I thought maybe she was pregnant, but she said it on multiple different occasions over the time she was on weekend GMAZ

Perhaps her husband got a new job in Houston?
 
I thought it was odd that Kim Quintaro co-hosted this morning as she is normally the weather person but I thought she did a good job and enjoyed seeing her doing more than just the very repetitive weather reporting. I note also she has done some on-site reporting for KPHO on occasion and seems competent doing that as well.

Weekend of September 1 & 2, Saturday GMAZ had Kim Quintaro doing double duty as co-host and weather. Sunday had Lindsey Reiser doing triple duty: Saturday 10PM, GMAZ and is coming back for Sunday evening news. I believe Spencer Blake has done this as well.

And on Sunday 9/09 Tess Rafols and Jared Dillingham were on the desk. Kim was doing remote weather from Westgate in Glendale

As a side note, Kylie and Kim both have a tendancy to look off to the side and not look at the audience directly. It can get distracting at times. "Sit up straight and address the audience"
