I know J-P is in the San Diego market, but where else do they own stations and how profitable are they?
______________

JP owns stations in Denver, San Diego, Miami, Atlanta, Richmond VA, Charleston SC & Charlotte NC. I live in Denver and all 5 of JP's station - 3 FM's (KYGO, KQKS, KJCD), 2 AM's (KKFN, KCKK) they are all profitable. KYGO & KQKS are the 2 most listened to stations in Denver. I know that WSTR in Atlanta is also very profitable. I don't know about the rest of the markets or how there TV stations fair at all.
______________

Yeah, but as I mentioned on the TV board (where I first saw this topic), it wouldn't surprise me that, if given the right offer, Infinity would swoop in and land one of the AM outlets for a KNX-style all-news outlet (if nothing else) to compliment KCNC 4. If that happens, you can bet Lincoln Financial would probably sell.

To say NOTHING of the fact that KYGO is arguably (??) THE most HIGHLY respected Country music station IN AMERICA (especially with its consistently high ratings).

Just my $.02 worth :)

Cheers for now :)
______________

New York City Radio and TV

According to Radio World's boildown...

...where revenue from Radio accounted for 10% of JP's bottom line, it will account for only 4% of the new, combined company's profits.

In this era where profits by themselves are not good enough for most corporations unless they're double-digit profits (at least), I predict once again that Lincoln/JP will hang on to the Radio division only as long as it escapes the corporate bean-counters' notice. Then CC or Infinity will by them 'en bloc'.
