I'm not surprised by that, it's not their business and they don't know what to do with it. Who has the money? Everybody else is either selling or just made a big purchase. I could see it getting split, someone buying the TV stations and Sports division and someone else buying the radio stations.

Everyone on this board seems to think they can run stations better... Maybe we should all put in couple grand each and buy it. Wouldn't that be a scary group :)

Maybe ESPN would be interested in Lincoln Financial Sports (ACC & SEC football & basketball regional syndication) for it's ESPN Plus/Regional Television unit if LF Sports would be a part of a sale?

I know one thing's for sure: Lincoln's 3 TV stations have the collective mouths over at Fox watering...

i hate paying to see uga away games
You wouldn`t have to (unless they`re on cable), ESPN Regional Television (on-air it`s called ESPN Plus) syndicates games from a few conferences (mainly Big East football & basketball & Big 12 hoops now) to local stations/regional cable sports nets.

CBS would probably bid. Lincoln Financial owns stations in Atlanta and Miami and CBS has wanted to expand their reach in both cities. They don't even own a station in Miami.

I don't think CBS can own radio in Miami. They've got two TV stations. Plus a full complement in West Palm. Would that preclude them from buying into radio...at least in Miami? I think CBS has a full house in Charlotte. That leaves Atlanta, San Diego and Denver, where CBS has room for growing the clusters.
