Linda Lawley Dies

For those of you old enough to remember a great regional band of the late 60's "Eternity's Children" and their hit "Mrs. Bluebird" ... this is from the OldiesMusic.com bulletin board:

"Linda Lawley Pelfrey died on Nov.24. She was a member of Eternity's Children, who had a minor hit in the 60's with "Mrs. Bluebird". After listening to samples of Eternity's Children's music, all I can say is, I wish that pop music had stayed that way for awhile, & not gone off on other tangents... "

Their drummer Frank Stevens was one of our TIX Dj's in the early 70's...

Bob

Actually his radio name was Frank Stevens. His real name is Roy Whittaker, and he is the original and recording drummer for Eternity's Children.

She also appeared in CC Courtney's stage production of "Earl of Ruston" about Earl K. Long. And she was in "Hair". She moved to L.A. in the late 70's and had a nice career going for herself till she died at Thanksgiving at 58.

RIP, Linda. You were great at the Sands on Jefferson Highway, and the Vapors in Gulfport...a memorable part of the late 60's.
