She quit Channel 2 several months ago after being demoted from 10P News anchor to 6P Anchor. One of many of Ch 2's blunders over the past couple of years. Ch 26 hired her on a freelance basis (yeah right) and she debuted this morning and will continue with her "freelance" project through tomorrow morning's news. My guess is you'll probably see her eventually replace that horrendous female anchor Melissa Wilson on KRIV's 9PM News. That would be a great move for KRIV. Ever since they put Melissa Wilson in as the female anchor, they have lost half of their audience and have never come close to regaining it. Their Nielsen demographic numbers are half of what they were 6 years ago when there was a competant news director and more importantly, a competant General Manager. Linda Lorelle was the one of the first smart hires the GM (D'Artagnen Bebel) has made. His problem, it's six years too late. By the way, he makes all the hiring decisions over there, not the News Director as it should be. He personally hired Melissa Wilson and instituted many of the failed news projects there during his 5 and a half years. His days have got to be numbered. In any event, look for Linda in the M-F 9P anchor chair by July.
