There have been a few brights spots at KPRC. I gave them a chance when they first switched to "Local 2" during the Athens Olympics. For whatever reason, they were doing serious newscasts (or at least, less fluffy newscasts) during the Olympics. Unfortunately they went right back to their old format just in time for sweeps (which, if I remember correctly featured a "live" home break-in - timed of course).

Thanks for that...I don't know why Maldonado's name just sticks in my head. I should have surfed the Washington Post Company website before I posted that.

Would she be content to do the midday and 6:00 newscasts, though? That's about the only place they could fit her. I don't see them jettisoning Lisa Foronda in order to pick up Ms. Lorelle.
