Linda Williams 40 Years at FOX10

Is Linda the last remaining on-air person from Channel 10's CBS era? I can't think of anyone else.

Linda was also moonlighting (Daylighting) on KTAR 620 Talk back in the 90's as host/anchor of the Saturday Morning News. (6-9am)

Linda is the last from the KOOL-TV era.

Wasn't Ron Hoon at 10 for a time in the '80s before he left to 12 (left town in between), and then went back to 10? John Hook and Troy Hayden were hired at the tail end of 10's time as a CBS station, IIRC.

Could be. I moved back to the Valley in early 1994, right when KTSP became KSAZ. Hoon was at 12 (so was Governor-wannabe), and I think John Hook had already started at 10, but Hayden came along a bit later.

I believe so, other than John Hook and Troy Hayden who joined at the very end of CBS. Most of the longtimers have departed in the last few years: Dave Munsey, Rick D'Amico, Jude LaCava, Steve Krafft, Diane Ryan, and others.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen some of those old timers make guest appearances once they depart. Dave Munsey lives just down the block so I see him occasionally but I'd love to hear what Rick D'Amico has been doing. He was turning into the Crusty Old Man there at the end......just like me!

Rick is on my Next-door...he posts about restaurants and stores, seems like he's living a nice retiree life.
Dewey Hopper used to post all the time, too, but he hasn't in awhile. He was funny. ;-)

Hopefully he's doing well. The last time I heard him on-air was when he was a newsreader on KPHX 1480, back in their Air America days a decade or so ago. He has to be close to 80 now, I would think.

Dewey and I met on the indoor soccer court a few years....and he knocked me flat on my as....er, wallet. He was the same shape as a beer barrel and about as stout. I think that was before he moved up to Sacto.

I wonder if Rick ever got his misses to allow him to take her out of the harbor on his sailboat. ;)

I'm also surprised that Linda wasn't promoted to weekdays. It seems that she could anchor weeknights at Fox 10 and draw some additional viewers (I would be one of them).
