Lineup Changes on WBPM

Recently I noticed Bill Williams is the mid-day host on 92.9/96.5 WBPM. I have not heard Bill on air since I-Heart let him go from WCTW & oldies 93.5 WCZR. What happened to JJ Carter ? He has been moved to evenings 7- 12 midnight on the station . This marks the first time in the station's history there has been a regularly scheduled local on air personality in the evening. Up until now it has been just automation 7PM-6AM. I am surprised in this era of cuts Pamal would add an air shift. I guess it does not matter a lot to JJ Carter as his show has always been voice tracked along with his other duties at the Pamal group, most notably afternoons and program director on WSPK K104 as Skywalker. It is nice to hear a DJ in the evening even if it's pre-recorded, which most people don't even notice.

Yes I forgot to post the WBPM Lineup change..I was advised of the change in their newsletter that anyone can request to be placed on their mailing list.

Not a big fan of Bill Williams on WBPM, but I decided to go with “Sunny” Joe Allen on WGNY-FM “Fox Oldies” where he does a terrific job to do middays, but trust me. “Sunny” Joe Allen is a ton better than Bill Williams, but I missed JJ Carter doing middays, but not, he is doing evenings now, but I’m stuck with Jimmy Howes on WALL. But if Jimmy Howes is not here, JJ Carter will do it since he might be filling in for Jimmy Howes on the other station. Jimmy Howes is still a funny guy.

I happened to catch the very end Randy Turner's show yesterday. They are really trying to make JJ Carter's show sound live. As Randy was signing off he said JJ Carter just walked in the studio . They spoke briefly Carter said the "new hours have been wild but with coffee I am getting used to it". Would he be actually be required to work evenings in addition to is afternoon show (Skywalker) and PD responsibilities on K104 WSPK, as well as voice tracking other out of area stations? I seriously doubt that. I think the piece if not all of Randy's show was pre-recorded or voice tracked. But, the result was effective and convincing that JJ Carter was actually there. To ship him to evenings live would make for a very long day , and be a significant demotion in status.

Probably not, but it wouldn't be out of the realm of the possible to have him track out-of-town in the morning, do his live show in PM drive, and track the local night show at the end of his PM drive show.

And also, in addition to middays at WBPM, he is now doing traffic reports over at WROW’s “Magic 100.5” and he might be considered as a program director for the Pamal/ABC stations up in Albany. I’ve heard Bill Williams doing traffic reports over at “Magic 100.5” during John Gabriel’s afternoon show.

And I forgot one thing, Bill Williams also did traffic reports on WYJB’s “B95.5” after he did middays on WBPM. What is Bill Williams going to do? Going to another studio to do traffic reports? I heard him on John Gabriel’s show on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5” and WYJB’s “B95.5” up in Albany. I don’t know why he was going to do after he did middays on WBPM before doing traffic reports.

And don’t forget WFLY’s “Fly 92.3”, WPYX’s “PYX 106” and WKLI’s “Cat Country” where Bill Williams also doing traffic in afternoon drive outside of middays on WBPM. And that all I can say about Bill Williams doing traffic reports on one of the Pamal/ABC stations outside of middays on WBPM.

Now you got Bill Williams on WBPM in middays, and doing traffic reports in afternoon drive on all of the Pamal/ABC stations up in Albany.

What do you guy think? Do you prefer Bill Williams in middays on WBPM, or doing traffic reports in afternoon drive on the Pamal/ABC stations in Albany.

Make your pick?

For me, I chose Bill Williams in afternoon drive where he does traffic reports which is way better than doing middays on WBPM.

And also, over at WALL, Jimmy Howes where he used to do his 6-hour evening shift from 7PM until midnight. And now, he is cutting back to 4 hours from 7PM until 10PM to make way for JJ Carter for 2 hours from 10PM until midnight over at the other station which is WBPM. Trust me, I still love JJ Carter, and it’s good to hear it for 2 hours at 10PM right after Jimmy Howes over at WALL.

And here is weeknight schedule. Jimmy Howes can be heard Monday through Thursday from 7-10PM on WALL, except on Tuesdays right after Rockin’ Richard on WNHU where Jimmy Howes is on for one hour, and then JJ Carter from 10PM until midnight Monday through Friday on WBPM right after Jimmy Howes, and on Friday nights right after “Doo-Wop Drive” with Allan David Stein over at WMTR. Good to hear them doing Jimmy Howes and JJ Carter back-to-back.

What do you think?

I usually don't respond to your nonsensical posts. However I have to ask ,what the hell are you talking about. This makes no sense. How are these jocks from different stations owned by different companies all end up on WALL?
Did you inform the affected jocks and stations of their new schedule? You even got the msth wrong for the length of Jim Hows shift. According to tjeir web sites Jj Carter is on WBPM 7- Midnight and Jim How the same on WALL. Then there is WMTR in Ohio or New Jersey how did Allen David Stein get involved ? According to WALL JIM FRY Is on until 7Pm.

You always got the idea. JJ Carter is still sounded a good as it gets. I listened to it at 10PM right after I finished listening to Jimmy Howes on WALL, Jimmy usually came on from 7PM until midnight, but now, he is from 7PM until 10PM. So I flipped over to WBPM and listen to JJ Carter at 10PM right after Jimmy Howes except on Fridays right after “Doo-Wop Drive”.

This is why I’m using TuneIn as a radio app for all my listening preferences.

And to get back to Bill Williams. After he finished doing middays at WBPM, guess what?! He does traffic reports on all of the Pamal/ABC stations up in Albany like WROW, WPYX, WYJB and WFLY. That’s right! Bill Williams doing traffic reports during afternoon drive outside of middays on WBPM. How strange is it?

You got sucked into the vortex. Amateur move. :ROFLMAO:

I think MHVRadiofan was talking about what stations he would listen to on his schedule not that the djs were on the same station.
NO you got that backwards. I would never impose such nonsense on this board. I commented on MTN Productions AKA Musicradio77 AKA Disney Fanatic's silly post .
You are correct though MTN Productions ( whatever that is) is talking about his imaginary radio station schedule. He has posted similar before. He has got a full schedule for this "station". There is no way he listens to the radio 24/7. He has told us before what he claims he listens to. Important stuff.

Don’t blame me, I like Bill Williams, because he sounds not too bad, both for middays at WBPM, and traffic reports during afternoon drive on Albany stations like WROW, WYJB, WPYX and WFLY. It would be suitable as a fill-in for Race Taylor on the other station which is WCBS-FM.

Now that I got an idea, I can go back to WCBS-FM and listen to Race Taylor where he might be coming back on September 5th where he is going to take over “Sunny” Joe Allen at WGNY-FM’s “Fox Oldies”, except only on Saturdays from 10AM until noon. Bill Williams is now I called as the new fill-in host when Race Taylor is either on vacation or under the weather.

I listened to other radio stations where I picked my favorite DJ’s. I love Bob Miller, “Sunny” Joe Allen, John Gabriel, Jimmy Howes, Rockin’ Richard, PJ Noce of “Story Untold”, Allen David Stein, Kevin Richards, Warren Lawrence, Ross Britton, Joe Daily, Vinny Medugno, Cousin Brucie, Tony Orlando, Joe Piscopo, JJ Carter, and now, Race Taylor is coming back.

Bob O and Bill Williams will be as my favorite fill-in hosts.

Those are all of my favorite DJ’s.

And don’t forget my favorite DJ’s like Felix Hernandez with his “Rhythm Review” show playing classic R&B and soul oldies, and my new favorite, Joe Trivero where he is now hosting the “Doo-Wop Dream Machine” from 5PM to 7PM on WRCR to join with Allan David Stein with his “Doo-Wop Drive” on WMTR from 7PM to 10PM on Friday nights and I will call it a “Doo-Wop Double Feature”, 5 hours of great doo-wop music and vocal group harmonies from the 50’s and early 60’s.

And to get back to Bill Williams, I am recording a full show right now, and I will be posting it later on to hear how it sounds. It would be a great idea as a fill-in midday host for Race Taylor when I go back to WCBS-FM next month.

And now, the moment you all been waiting for, it’s Bill Williams as it was heard on WBPM yesterday. And like I said, he sounds okay, but not that great, and not a good fit for me. So I pretend to be Bill Williams filling in for “Sunny” Joe Allen over at WGNY’s “Fox Oldies”.

This was where Bill Williams does middays before he does traffic reports during afternoon drive on all of the stations in Albany’s ABC cluster including WROW’s “Magic 100.5”, WYJB’s “B95.5”, WPYX’s “PYX 106”, WKLI’s “Cat Country”, WFLY’s “Fly 92.3” and WAJZ’s “Jamz 96.3”. I will be posting Bill Williams doing traffic during John Gabriel’s show on WROW’s “Magic 100.5” later today.

So let’s enjoy Bill Williams as heard on WBPM.

And here is another one with John Gabriel as heard on WROW’s “Magic 100.5” from yesterday afternoon. This was right after Bill Williams wrapped up his midday shift over at WBPM where he is now doing traffic reports each and every hour during afternoon drive on all of the Albany stations.

If you listen very carefully, you will hear Bill Williams as a traffic reporter. Listen very carefully and hear what it sounds like.

Out of these two airchecks that I posted, this is why Bill Williams is now voice tracking on middays on WBPM and doing traffic reports in afternoon drive on all of Pamal Albany stations at the same time.
