Thanks for taking time to read this and I hope I'm within topic here but I've been in need of a cart winder and can't seem to find one on the net... if anyone knows of any good sites to hit for older equipment besides the standards, please please let me know, and my apoligies if I'm off topic here.

Cart winder? Wow...the station I first worked for was too cheap to buy one. I still wound carts...40-second carts is 25 feet of tape. Lay it out on a clean floor with a measuring tape, put the cart reel on a board with a nail in the middle, and wind up the cut length of tape by hand. I didn't do anything longer than 70's...we bought the longer lengths premade from National Audio.

Oh, the good old days ;)
