Detroit Lions Extend Deal With 97.1 The Ticket

Audacy Sports "97.1 The Ticket" WXYT-FM Detroit has agreed to a multi-year extension of its broadcast rights agreement with the NFL's Detroit Lions to remain as hose of all of the franchise's broadcasts.

Hardly a surprise and I doubt there was any competition. The Lions behavior in prior solicitations for their radio carriage in which they basically shared the bid from others with WXYT telling them it's theirs if they match has likely resulted in no one else even offering a proposal.

I thought WJR did better during the brief window when they had it because the Lions got in a snit about WXYT declining to discipline on on air employee.
