Lions Week 7 Game Might Be Blacked Out...

WJBK:

About 1,500 tickets are available for Sunday's game. If they are not all sold by 1 p.m. Thursday, the NFL will black out the game on TV in the Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw/Flint and Toledo markets.

Well, it's after 1 PM... Any word from D-Town?

Surprised to read this. I thought (Lions fan living in Phoenix) the games were always sold out. Have they always done this 'smoke and mirrors' way to achieve a 'sell-out?'

If by "they" you mean the NFL, yes, they've been doing that for years. Several times, the NFL extended the blackout deadline 24 hours in the Buffalo Bills' home market. I don't know if they were still selling "returned" tickets.

Returned tickets are considered sold and don't count against a blackout.
