Canadian movie studio Lionsgate has bought the TV Guide Network and TV Guide's online properties from Macrovision for $255 million. (The magazine was sold earlier for $1 + a secured loan).
Macrovision keeps the TV Guide cable set-top EPG, and the VCR Plus technology.
The deal has already closed (that quickly)...so Lionsgate is now in control.
