This will be fun to watch.

It's a GREAT move for those stations. Steve was a pretty darn good GM when he was just overseeing KBSG and KNDD. It was after that when the problems began. He knows the market and knows the properties.

Grow up, Jack. Let it go. Sheesh. Like YOU never got any bad information ever!

So let me get this straight. Exitcom fired Steve once because he was doing such a crappy job (way over his head) and then they bring him back to screw things up again. What a pattern this terrible company has going. Steve is a pretty nice guy but FAKE like a plastic tree. All he is is a smoozer. Exitcom is by far the worst broadcast company in America. The only thing they consistantly do is F up. I give them credit, they are good at that. The Mountain, a great Station. Probbably the best in the Market. Not any more. Good luck Steve Oshin. The Wolf. This station is already on its way out. KMPS will suck the blood out of you and it will just be easier now that captain Oshin is here to bring the ship down. The only thing Entercom has ever done right was keeping BJ shea on the air.

Exitcom fires Ricker and then wait wait wait hey Ricker Please come back. Whats next? Bringing Robin and Maynard back? Entercom Sucks and I hope they fail Miserably. When they do get a clue how to treat talent they may have a chance in radio hell at doing something that will last. Learn how to treat your programmers while you are at it. Good luck Steve Oshin. they must be paying you a pretty penny for you to go back to that hell hole. Isnt that what Exitcom is good at? Paying way to much for people that they THINK can fix years of mistakes? What a company you have going Mr Field. I am sure your father is proud.

Give the man his due. He's a real radio guy - from what I hear - absolutely digs real radio. What he doesn't like is the duties of running a group of stations for a publicly held company (meetings, financial reports, HR, etc.) Who could blame him for that?

begs two questions:

how terrible is it at exitcom that they could find no one other than him to fill the job?
and
how bad is the seattle times interactive doing that he wanted to leave?

I'm sure the compensation is much greater for the Entercom job than at the Seattle Times, not to mention the McArthur-esque vindication of returning to a position you were removed from. All I know is that I don't know anyone at Met Park who's happy about it.

Who are you talking to? Everyone at Met park is thrilled.

Liar. They were happy when he was removed and they are happy he is back? I dont get it. Lets just say at Exitcom you feel how you are told to or you like Steve Oshin and so many others, are removed. Again, what a great company. Who will they bring in next? Kim Jong?

he was heading up deathlake when a bunch of sales folks got letters saying "if you don't make budget next quarter, you will be teriminated". were they on salary? no. 100% commision. if they don't bill, they starve. even someone billing 10k per month makes the company money. have a hard time believing that was pridemore or anyone else there. is "motivation by fear" how you like to work?
