Listenable Radio Staions up in Citrus County

Is their any good radio up in Citrus County. Citrus 95 is OK but not a big Top 40 Person. WPOI out of Tampa can be picked up but the signal is a Rimshot and not very listenable. Even on a Car Stereo. (Its like Music mixed with garbage.)Only if I drive down to Brooksville/ Spring Hill can the station be picked up with a Good Signal with just fluttery interference. Same goes with WXGL 1073 as well as 97X. The only 2 stations I can stand with City Grade signals over Homosassa and Crystal River are 98Rock and 106.3 True Oldies. Both out of Clearwater and Spring Hill. My music taste lean Classic Rock and Adult Alternative. I also like some older music from the 60's as well.

Have you tried tuning in any Gainesville or Ocala stations? I would imagine at least some of them would be clearly available in Citrus County.

98.5 WKTK and 105.5 WDUV both should be good in Citrus county.

WOGK 93.7, WMFQ 92.9 and WTRS 102.3 are Ocala/Gainesville stations that have excellent coverage in Citrus County.

I forgot WDUV. I liked the Music they played on that station. Very relaxing to listen to. Need more stations like The Dove. 98.5 is not bad either. Has a really good signal (Thanks to its transmitter location just north of Crystal River.) Listened to KTK the other day going to Gainesville. Even made a trip to Spring Hill and was able to pick it up without a problem.

I also tuned in to WOGK a while back when driving to Ocala. While I'm not big on Country I do like the Variety they play.

I'm guessing the big issue for most Tampa stations is Transmitter Location. Being that most if not all Tampa Stations are located out of Riverveiw. (Just Southeast of Tampa.) Wherelse WXTB, WDUV and so on have transmitters out of Pasco County. Holiday to be specific.

The station was also an easy catch in the Largo area, and even as far south as Manatee County -- until 98.7 signed on.

Doesn't WXTB have (or had) a transmitter on Starkey Road in Seminole, where their studios were formerly located?

WXTB used to have a Largo Transmitter site. However according to Radio Locator the current site is 1455 Dartmouth Drive. Holiday, Fl, 34691. Which is exact same address for WDUV, WSUN and WTSP TV-10. I also heard a while back that Cox would move WXGL's site to that general area. Which is the whole reason why back in 2004 WFJV out of Citronelle had to move frequencies from 107.5 to 103.3.

I'm sorry. Typo, I meant Seminole on WXTB's Former Transmitter Site.
