First, the 700 Club or whatever it's called. I liked the pace, I had no idea Jim Bochman (sp?) was so deep into college hoops, the host Fein (?) was like a poor man's Jim Rome without the attitude. Although, too much talk about Maine. I honestly think the show has promise, and was a refreshing change.
The show after was very strong - no idea who it was, but the guy was so good that I might just make it a point to listen again.
Here is the thing about 950, and if I was in management there I would have lost my sh*t and burnt houses to the ground to make it end - the show after the 700 Club was a Fox network show, with Fox network updates - that MENTIONED WIP AND PLAYED AUDIO repeatedly!
Yeah yeah yeah, they were using a clip from the Sixers radio broadcast in the update - but there is a new station in your network in fricken market 6, maybe you make an adjustment? It's not like they played audio from every game in the NBA in the update, just certain games.
It was utterly laughable the first time that I heard WIP's call letters on WPEN Sports Talk 950 last night, after that it became pathetic. In my opinion that is not acceptable if Greater Media is going to be considered a contender in the sports talk battle.
