Listening Test...

Earlier this week I took a trip up to our Lansing, Mi. group to get some gear and my engineering counterpart has a good HD rec. in his truck. I sat and listened to WKAR AM HD for some time and I gotta say, I was most impressed. Much, much better than what I heard at NAB in 2002. My only problem was, they were running the processing way to aggressive so at times it would squash the audio. It sounded like crap with the 5k mask on but when he flipped it over to HD... I am a convert. I know I just opened a can of worms by saying that cause here come the "side band" people.
Over all...great sound. This same engineer has XM and Sirus and I sampled them as well. Those sound awful, one worse than the other, don't remember which and don't care, as listening to them gave me a headache after about 15 minutes.
