Lite 100.5 doing all 80's holiday Weekend

But they didn't play any of today's hits that belong on the CHR stations. That was the nice part about it. Now what would be great is 60s-80s soft AC.

Twenty-something guys are obviously not their target audience. I don't know why that makes it so hard to appreciate a station's success.

Beginning tomorrow morning at 6AM Lite 100.5 is doing an "All-80's Holiday Weekend." To me this seems like an updated version of 96.5 TIC's "Wayback Weekend."
Is Lite 100.5 owned by CC? WSRS-FM in Worcester also ran an "All-80s Holiday Weekend". I never listen to WSRS but unfortunately a store my wife and I were in on Sunday afternoon had them on as their background music. IMHO, having them on is the quickest way to drive away prospective customers.

And before any of you ask, I am not in their target demo. ;D

A NAPA Auto Parts store? Yes. A TJ Maxx store? No. Yes, every rule has exceptions, but radio is all about programming for majority tastes in the targeted demographic. It may not be PC to say it, but sometimes stereotypes reflect the truth.
