Lite 100.5?

Latest rumor (via Rodney Ho's blog) is that 100.5 could be AC...with Steve and Vikki in the morning.

If this is true, I don't Paul Ciliano, Dan Kerney, Kelly McCoy and the others have to worry. B98.5 is 100kW and has Delilah (100.5 is 12 kW), though the new station probably would have a larger playlist.

Since it will be two weeks before the flip (1/25 - according to latest reports), there will be a lot of time for speculation as to the new format for 100.5 (Although in this age it may get leaked before then).

Does anybody carry John Tesh in Atlanta? His show is always a solid second choice for AC at night.

I'm still putting my money down that the Regular Guys and some sort of rock format will land at 100.5, not light rock.

The great thing about Rodney is that you can tell him anything and he will print it. See the other thread.

I don't know that Cumulus knows how to do oldies. They botched it in Mobile, but that's a whole 'nother story.

Guys, this Rodney bashing is way off base. His sources are in the industry and qualify for semi-crediable status.
Would anyone among us not take them for what they are saying? Certainly Rodney was trying to get the scoop.
That's the name of the game. What he did do was trust people that would probably not generally lie to
him because they need him to give them free publicity. What he missed, was it's radio and the element of surprise
and dropping format changes in with no prior warning is considered "good radio" from the good era of radio when
competition was really competition. Rodney is a class act and I cannot think of any other market where you have
a person so passionate about trying to convey radio in it's true artform --- that he was taken is a story --- a
story of good old fashion radio pranks and hijinks and everyone involved benefitted. Rock on Rodney --- besides
when did the AJC start printing only true articles, anyway????
