OK, notice that Lite 94.3 is back after being "temporarily off the air". What shut them down? Power failure from storms on Salem mountain?
Ahh but Grasshopper, do generators not cost money? Who listens to the radio anymore for emergency information anyway? Most stations have long ago tossed out the window their commitment to serve the community in favor of their determination to rape the business community of every last dollar in return for a marginal on air product at best. Again I ask is it any wonder revenues are now in the tank? Not that long ago a few seconds of dead air was unacceptable. Now a few days of dead air is not unusual in some cases.Did station owners ever hear of GENERATORS?
I can't believe how loose some stations sound. .25 to .5 dead air between songs. It sounds like who's ever running the board is listening with headphones on at max volume. To them the song is still fading, to the average listener, the song is over and it's dead air.
Man, you must be thrilled then with the programming on WCDL and WNAK these daysWe need just a little bit of dead air, we need to slow our lives down a bit.
