Lite Fm Plays Relaxing Favorites

Interesting that as of yesterday, the station is promoting an old commercial on television that says they are playing the Best Variety of the 80's,90's and Today; I am wondering when the sales department was informed of the flip.

I have noticed that the places I had visited over the holidays such as restaurants and various offices had the Christmas Lite on has continued to be playing WLIT. I am enjoying the music both in my car and office. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed that more businesses are play 93.9? Kind Regards

I'm sure they were. The announcement of the post-holiday flip was even in all the trade magazines.

I have not noticed more businesses playing 93.9 than since before (or during) the Holidays. In my admittedly small and unscientific sample size from personal experience, the station that I hear most frequently is WLS-FM, followed by local rimshots. At my location 40 or so miles from downtown Chicago, getting a hiss-free downtown FM signal can sometimes be problematic. Which, of course, works to the advantage of the local alternatives.

Would that be a bunch of stores' mangament being a bunch of Scrooges?

Sounds like some of the soft ACs (at least the Iheart's Breeze stations) might be inclined to playing some current material. I was just checking the playlist of Iheart's new "100.9 the Breeze" in Albuquerque and one of the songs listed that played today (1/13, 3:57 am local time) was "Lights Down Low" by MAX, which is #5 on the billboard adult contemporary chart this week.
