Lite Rock 96.9 (WFPG)

Does anyone else notice that during certain slower songs or when DJs are talking, it sounds like there is another radio station playing in the background on 96.9 WFPG. It is more noticeable during the Christmas music.

Any reason for another station playing in the background? Has anyone else noticed?

SCA crosstalk, perhaps.....???
Or maybe the main studio is next to production.....and they leave doors open......?!

I've heard it too before! I can attest to working down there in radio, and the equipment they're all using is dying. I'd suspect it's their STL link, potentially picking up another STL link from a station on that frequency. Unlike AM transmissions, FM can not have two stations being heard at the same time, or I think it's extremely rare. You either hear one or the other. For instance- WFPG and WLAN are both on 96.9. During tropo propagation, they fight for the frequency, but never are heard on top of each other.
