Lite Talk and Less Favorites

A ray of hope in a dismal landscape: the new woman jock on W2LTS, 90 minutes into her first shift, got the liner backward, said "...home for lite talk and less favorites..." hesitated for a moment and then just went on with the show, which was the right thing to do.

Mistakes of that kind are natural, common and hardly anyone notices them. But many announcers will hem and haw and apologize and call attention to to them. She, to her credit, did not. And she has a nice voice.

Now, if they'd just fix the rest of the station (as in, expand the playlist, tone down that 1970s sounding morning rock-jock and put Delilah on the subcarrier, or better yet dump her.)

Who is the new woman? Who isn't there anymore?

I believe the new woman is Jennifer MacIssac. She used to be the PD as well as on-air on WBLF. At least, that's what I've been told.
