Lite's Out For Karen Carson

Carson also had been doing middays on KOST in Los Angeles (presumably from NYC studios, though I don't think she was voicetracked). I'm guessing she's vacated that position as well?
 
I had heard about her departure recently and was wondering if it was voluntary or not. Considering who her replacement is, her history with Jim Ryan, and the timing of this, I'm thinking she was let go. I definitely came to appreciate Fresh's airstaff more after they were allowed to talk up the songs, and I'm sorry to see Heather go. But at the same time I'm glad Carson has a weekday slot on NYC radio again. I wish both of them the best.
 
Looks like Ryan is cleaning house.... first Brandi and now Heather. Guess Dylan is next. I thought Brandi was the best on the station, but this is the same guy who fought so hard to keep JJ Kennedy, Steve Roy and Bill Buchner. ::)
 
I never actually saw the Jim Ryan angle until today... Hey, what are the odds that he's trying to slowly but surely piece together the old Lite-FM "dream team"? JJ Kennedy's doing traffic mornings on WOR, but I bet she'd go back to playin' the hits in a heartbeat... Steven Roy? He's on the West Coast now, but maybe he could voicetrack or ISDN from there... oh, and he does this podcast, from what I hear... :)
 
Never met her, but knew of her. I wish her the Best, and glad she is staying in NY :) I also wish Heather and Brandi the Best too. :)
 
So there's two Steven Roys? No wonder the one on Lite stresses the "E." Thanks for clearing it up, Paul!

Meanwhile, I read that Karen's going to start on Fresh this Monday in middays. So I guess there's no non-compete clause - then again, come to find out, such clauses were ruled against in New York state. Imagine that.
 
Yes, Karen Carson has left KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles as well. I think she was live at times but, there was time I think she was Voice tracked because how she use to do the weather on KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles.

Yes, she was voicetracked in Los Angeles. Though I'm told she usually did her tracks on the same day they aired. She got pretty decent ratings in LA.
