"Little Me" Jason Wolfe Throws A Tantrum

According to an article in Tuesday's Boston Herald, "Little Me" Jason Wolfe threw a tantrum in his office when he read in the Herald that Howie Carr was going to WTKK.

The paper reported that he threw a crashed a glass radio award on his desk in anger.

Sounds like "Little Me" needs a time out and he will probably get one... a long one on the street OUTSIDE of the Guest Street Entercon studio.

Obviously, that should read..."...he threw a glass [crystal ] award the radio station received on his desk.

Instead of...The paper reported that he threw a crashed a glass radio award on his desk in anger.

don't believe any of it. Jason pulled a "mail the Carlton Fisk contract a day late" routine.

They wanted Howie to leave, despite the millions in revenue. The Sox are taking over the station.

Your Entercom/Red Sox Broadcasting Entity

I may throw my own tantrum if I hear Larry Johnson's sissy-boy voice on WEEI much longer. His employment is a mystery to me. He has no more knowledge of sports than the average guy reading the newspaper. He's never been a sportscaster, reporter, or athlete. I know that it's vacation time, but they have to do better than this. This is an example of 'EEI's arrogance. They have no respect for the audience and take their ratings, which are a direct reflection of the success of the Red Sox and Patriots, for granted. I guess I'll listen to Oldies for the rest of the week. I know Jason Wolfe has his hands full, but he better pay some attention to the station that's making money before he has two sinking ships.

"Little Me" Jason is in charge of the deck chairs . . . on The Titanic !

And to think, this is happening while his Yoda----Ordway, is on vacation.

The gnome is spinning the gnome is spinning.

Affirmative Action?

Yeah, it could be affirmative action.  Dennis and Callahan's stupid Metco Gorilla episode has probably guaranteed this no-talent hack a job for life.  He does seem like the type who plays the race card frequently.  He likes to imply that he's a brother from the 'hood, but he actually grew up on the mean streets of Canton, where he was known as Ladybird.

Um, Larry Johnson is black so he is stuck like super-glue to "racist" WEEI FOREVER.

Oh, Micheal Holly too.

Unreal--Jason Wolfe's height is ridiculed as is Larry Johnson's race---fair game if you don't like someone.

But when right wing talk hosts mock personal characteristics of someone the people here like, all hell breaks loose. Wolfe didn't ask to be short or Johnson black.

What hypocrisy.

It really does take away from the criticism of WRKO to attack Jason's height. Have never seen the man outside of photos so ... what's the point of making fun of him? Let's keep to the issues - that RKO is one of the worst excuses for a radio station in the history of New England radio.

General Tire where art thou?

"Little Me" reflects his demeanor rather than his height. If you have seen the movie it would make sense

Then shouldn't he be "Mini Me" - the name of the 5/8th's sized version of Dr. Evil? Does seem appropriate here - in all aspects, BTW. :D

I don't think anyone was ridiculing Larry Johnson's race. There must be some reason however, that he's on a very highly rated sports radio station. He's never played a sport on any level, never done play-by-play, and never has been a sportswriter. He isn't a broadcasting professional, has an effeminate sounding voice (which you wouldn't expect on all-jock radio), a bad accent, bad grammar, and is obviously uneducated even though he claims to be some kind of minister.

It appears, from another thread on this board, that there are several posters who make, have made, or wish they could make their living in the radio industry. Somehow this guy is employed in radio and seems to have nothing to offer. Even a lummox like Pete Sheppard has a good voice. This guy's got nothing.

Well, don't you know Art, everything in radio is about M-O-N-E-Y, as has been pointed out to me by luminaries on this board too numerous to mention. If he's there, it's because his presence increases revenue. Or reduces costs.

Because no one in radio ever makes a bad decision. Or makes a decision not justified by the numbers. Or so I'm told.

Larry's not even a particularly good cartoonist. And his piousness becomes tiring after awhile.

About a year ago Bruce Allen, on Boston Sports Media Watch, did a comparison of Larry's "drawings" against images that he lifted from Google Image. He showed a couple dozen where Larry clearly copied the picture. Not too surprisingly, he was dropped from Sports Illustrated's web site shortly therafter. This guy seems to have faked his way through life.

The cartoons that he does draw without "assistance" are horrible and never funny. See the WEEI website.

That tears it! If only Larry Johnson were short, then I could really hate him. :-\
