Said ol' purple to the readers everywhere.
Do you hear what I hear? Do you hear what I hear?
Una palabra, una palabra, á 97 punto 5.
Y es en Español, tambien? Y es en Espanol, tambien.

Spanish language programming breaking into an already handicapped KFNC from the 4-4. KFNC is on top, but we've got some waving action going on between the two. Hard to tell exactly what it is when all I can hear is a few words here and there from the Spanish broadcaster.

Time - 13:00, 9-13-16

Reception reports kindly appreciated.

...and just like that, it is gone. KFNC stands alone on its one crutch again @ 97-5. I believe we may have just witnessed the initial testing of either K268CJ or K248BD. Heaven help us all, this has become utterly asinine.

Listen to the signals interfere.
Do you hear what I hear? Do you hear what I hear?

Purple, you would be about 25 miles from the proposed K248BD site. I doubt it would cause much trouble to KFNC in your area; most likely no real issue. I'm about 15 miles from K248BD, and not hearing any interference to KFNC.

:cool:Like David ? said in one of His posts translators have been shut down even out side the local contour of a class A coverage when enough listeners complain, ESPN has a ton of listeners in the NW area that could complain, I live two miles from K248BD and receive a good signal from KFNC 60 miles away both inside the house and all over Tomball, Waller, Magnolia area and will lodge a complaint when My ESPN goes Spanish, K236AR had complaints in the Tomball area from KNDE college station (Aggie) listeners that had old Jose the engineer scratching his head running around raising and lowering the power remotely trying to reduce the interference, and now he will get to do it again except this time He will have a lot more effected listeners to deal with than on 95.1. K248BD will still wipe out KFNC over a wide NW area even with the directional antenna. But then this may be the first hop on the road to join up with their sister translator K236AR in Missouri City.
