SO we wake up on Sunday morning to watch "Our Gang" and much to my dissapointment ME-TV showed the colorized versions.
Now we all know that colorization was a big flop and people hated it when it was introduced in the eighties. The only time you might see a colorized flick is occasionaly on one of Turner's networks. Terrible Ted cannot admit defeat, but why would ME-TV go with colorized Rascals?
Could it be that these are the only versions available? Ironically my wife's favorite Little Rascals episode was on, Darla and Alfalfa put on some type of musical, and it looked like crap.
First "Mad About You" and now this? C'mon ME-TV, show the B/W versions!
P.S. I noticed SONY has released the Stooges on DVD with Colorized and B/W versions on the same disc. Why? For 20 years people have hated colorization, it's never gonna catch on. I'm sure they think younger kids wont watch Black and White shows -- I got news for them, with all the choices kids have nowadays, the last thing they'll watch is the Stooges and Our Gang, Black and white OR color.
