Stream is back up; listening this morning and what do I hear but an actual human announcer. Kinda surprised, I thought they were outlawed during TelCom Reform
This weekend I was in Birmingham (note to Dothan posters: it's a large town somewhat north of you) and got to hear Amber's last Friday afternoon break. Also, the never-said-his-name, "that was / this is" morning guy is billboarding Dave Rossi for middays, so I suppose Reg's promise of a low-key live-staff startup is coming due. Veeeerrrrryy low-key.
Station sounded good; the signal is at least what is was during the WAMZ days and should get a bit better when the antenna is raised. Zach, the FCC shows the new antenna being elevated on the same 934' tower. I could be all-wrong -- wouldn't be the first time today -- but I recall the Alabama 100.5 being signal-limited while the arguments over the Atlanta 100.5 move-in and power increase were being finally settled. Maybe that's what the CP for the new antenna is about.
