Live 105 stunting?

Anyone notice Live 105 doing an alternative-Jack format this weekend? They're calling it a "No Boundaries Weekend", virtually jockless, and the mix includes oddities like Jay-Z, Jefferson Airplane, Credence Clearwater Revival, and Aretha Franklin along with their usual alternative music. Sounds like a tweak in the format for when Howard leaves. Both Alice and Live 105 haven't been doing well in the ratings, so this doesn't come as a surprise, but 2 Jack-like stations in the same market?

A friend just hipped me to this and I'm sorry I've missed most of it -- this blows every Jack/Bob/Max format I've ever heard to absolute shreds, not to mention Star's "Whatever Weekends". It's "Jack" for smart people!

Whether it's a harbinger of things to come or just a clever weekend stunt is anybody's guess.

Its really quite simple: Infinity management has seen the ratings for Max and have simply come to the conclusion that they can do much better than that! Jack is on his way to the bay area radio waves. Mr. Harvill is on the move with the Infinity bay area radio cluster look for many more changes to come sooner rather than later!
