LIVE 105

CBS could really throw this town for a loop if they were to flip KITS to a classic rock station!

102.1
103.7
104.5
105.3
107.7

All pretty close together on the dial, and all playing some form of Classic Rock. Total confusion.

This is pretty sad - all those stations fighting over the right to re-hash all the same "classic" rock which we have heard far too often. None of them doing all that well in the ratings.

Doesn't anyone have any imagination at all.

I rather like some of what K101 is doing these days.

Boy do I miss KPIG.

How about 80s New Wave/Modern mixed with Hard/Metal rock, 90s rock, todays Alternative and Active Rock.

I said it before and I'll say it again...(Live 105) "Live" traffic and weather together....all day, everyday
and the bay area home of your "A"s........If it's "Live" it's on 105!

Maybe you're joking - but who would tune in for more than a few minutes when they needed a traffic report? Weather doesn't change that quickly.

The nearest thing I can think of was KHJ's brief incarnation as Car Radio 93 about 1984 in Los Angeles. It was RKO General's desperate attempt at breathing life into the AM music format, well after the glory days of Boss Radio - traffic reports every ten minutes, but music in between. From what I understand, it wasn't very popular

Early on, 95.7 KPIX was about 75% repetition of traffic and weather - it didn't work then, either. The station did a little better when they became All OJ, All the Time.

Their is a 50kwer in Vancover that is all traffic and weather
On the FM band? Sounds like an AM trying to survive.

Never mind. Googled my own answer...An AM station trying to survive, not an FM worthy format. I'll buy it as a better AM format than the umpteenth religious station, but I still wouldn't tune in except for a couple of minutes when I needed traffic info, and only then if I was actually in the car and didn't have Internet access.

To to be honest my post was just a joke, I didn't think anyone would give it much thought. Sorry

No problem. If I wasn't posting my 'wisdom' here, I'd have to actually get some work done. ;D
