So the rumor is KITS (Live 105) is going to flip to sports...anyone heard that? I see more and more CBS properties going...

I wouldn't be surprised at all! Boston, Baltimore, DC, Pittsburgh, DFW are some of the markets where CBS has started FM sports outlets, all branded "The Fan".

If Live 105 flips to sports, it probably would be 105.3 The Fan, same as DFW. :)

I hope they do it soon. In the last few months, there have been about 4 threads on "105.3 The Fan" speculation, and the same people keep giving the same responses. ???

Radio-Info subject browsing tip: if you navigate away from the most recent topics (the 'front page,' if you will), to Page 2,3, etc - you can often find the subject you're looking for...and it would be true multiple times in this case. And then, if you post a comment, that subject goes back to page 1 - just like magic.

They may have to race The Wolf as with the signing of the Oakland A's, it may be a matter of time before Entercom blows up the country format and goes FM sports. Obviously, the Sharks are already in their stable.

Would be another big blow to SF/Bay Area Radio!! Used to be such a great Radio dial...Now, boring as hell!

How can a market that size be without and Active/Alternative Rock station? Crazy!

They need to move fast because 95.7 The Wolf could do it at any time. They have the As and their sister station has the Sharks and the owners have some real big sports stations already.

Sorry, but having 4 sports stations is a bad idea...it just dilutes the market too much...rather like is happening with rock and classic rock. The more there are, the less listeners each, and less advertising dollars each will be able to pull in.

Really there is only one, KNBR 680. 1050 is all satelite, and KTRB is a total joke. I think it could totally work, but CBS is about two weeks too late on picking up the A's though. Are there any NEW developments on a possible 105.3 Sports Format?

Quit going in every topic and saying "No" to everything...do you have an reason by saying No

On Topic: It be cool..Would the Raiders or the 49ers be on the new Station??

Honestly, will a Sports Station work in SF?? Yeah KCBS doing good on FM

I see it like this Music on FM - Sports/Talk/News on AM...
