Will any Philly stations provide live, continuous coverage of Live 8 or should I just have MTV on all day. I know ABC is planning a highlights show at 8 pm on Saturday night. Just wondering if there would be any local coverage. I guess they will all be on standby should something happen.

wpvi said they will have coverage "throughout the day". They did not expand on what that meant though. I would like to see them stay with it instead of the occassional update - we will see.

I think they mean they will have hourly updates simular to what they do sometimes when it snows.

KYW, could air it live via MTV's feed (kinda like how WPVI shows eagles games when they're on ESPN). Thats what they probably would've done had this event aired on a weekday, or on a day when CBS had no sporting events to air. However, since CBS does have sports, KYW can't preempt just to carry MTV's feed.
