Live, Breathing Humans?

How many stations in Nashville have live human beings in their studios 24/7? I can only confirm one. Also wondering after all the CC fecal matter hits the fan and Cumulus does whatever it is they will do, How Many Stations in Nashville will have LIVE JOCKS
a.) at all?
b.) outside of morning drive?
c.) More than 8 hours a day?

Although I consider myself a pretty good pc guy, networking four pc's here at home..two of which I use to do my weekly internet show,I know nothing about the high tech phones, ipads, etc, that are out there now..I simply don't need one..heck.my cell phone doesn't even have a camera...but I understand enough to know it won't be long til whatever anyone wants to hear will be right there in the palm of your hand..if it isn't already..commercial free..so why would anyone, or the majority of people want..or need OTA radio..news ?? got it on the i phone..weather..ditto..traffic..i imagine that's available also..real radio..has pretty much gone to be-elza-bub , any loyalty that's left is for live jocks in am/pm drive on a given station...and that audience seems to have diminished..what will save OTA radio..or is it too late already..?? :-\

The good news I am beginning to make a living doing local news for stations. People interested in news for their local communities. If only there were a way o broadcast that information... local radio perhaps? No wait, that's for carrying national stuff.

Many people want to hear JUST music and nothing else. Which is why cars have that iPod connection. No commercials and no monthly bill like with Sirius/XM. It doesn't take any time at all to load up all your favorite songs to your iPod. No more listening to the SAME F'n songs over and over from the available radio stations.

Unless your a news/politics/sports talk person you just want your favorite songs playing.

Unless you are a typical small town listener. Then you want your to hear what's happening in your town or what affects your town. If that weren't true, I'd be broke. But yeah, no matter how big the playlist, no station can beat your i-pod. In the old days we has entertaining personalities to keep listeners. Most of today's air talent have nothing to say and spend all day saying it.

But they're not allowed to say anything interesting because they're told to shut up and play the hits. PPM says change the channel if you open the mic.

How sure are we that it's allowing the talent to speak that's exercising the PPM?

(how sure are we that it isn't the ten minutes of spotload that starts when the talent stops?)

People will tune in to somebody that says something interesting. How many examples do you you want. I'll start off with tow: Carl P Mayfield. Gerry House.

Speaking of Carl P. he replied to a poster on FB, that bespoke of his years at KDF (rock version), mentioning that she would love to hear him again on Nashville radio..his reply was "very soon"...or something very much like that..any guess's on where he's gonna turn up ?? I'll go out on a limb here, and say not the "ZONE" or the "GAME".. ;) i'm curious...
