Live Oak's WLVO Returns....

WLVO used to be a very unique album rock/classics station.

Not so sure how well this will work when the area's already served by WOLR and Air 1.

My thoughts too. This area actually gets a good signal from WAYT 88.1 (Way-FM), WVDA 88.5 (Air1), WOLR 91.3 (although their music sounds like a bad 24k mp3 lately) WPLL 106.9, and now the new WLVO. :-\

I think y'all are overthinking the situation. WLVO needed to be on the air to save the license. To that end, they likely looked for a non-offensive, easy to do format that would cost them nothing. At this juncture, they're probably not trying to capture listeners nor even sell advertising, just trying to be on the air as cheap as possible. The choice of formats probably had very little to do with any of the traditional thinking that goes into picking a format
