Live or Voicetracked?

What shows are live and which are VT? It seems that alot of stations are being voicetracked after the morning show.

I can't speak for the other stations in Binghamton, but at Clear Channel, any VT'ing that's done during the morning show is done within the hour, and the jocks are still in the building and on the clock when the break airs. In this case, the VT's are used as a way to perfect the break, not to eliminate any staff working hours. There are some talent here who prefer to VT their breaks, even if it's just a few minutes ahead, so that they can get the break "just right".

Even the best have made a mistake on air. If they are good - they record the VT in one take and move on. If not - they have as many chances to redeem themselves as they need.<P ID="signature">______________

Yeah, but it's OK to make a mistake on the air. The talent is getting in and being able to get out of it. If every break is supposed to be perfect like you say...why not just can the jocks and play liners all day! Liners are perfect everytime.
