"Live" phoners on Now 97.5 right now

Wow. Santa's doing "live" phoners on the station right now. When they started running the promo asking kids to call at a certain time each night this week, I thought they were going to put together a bunch of recordings to do an "Ask the Experts" type thing like B101 is doing. Phoners though! I'm impressed! (But I'm not very high-maintenance so maybe that explains it!)
 
DJ is an aspiration to kids nowadays. Not surpised by that.
Just surprised that kids listen to over-the-air radio. It may be a case of parents having the station on because they know the music and commercials will be safe for family listening.
 
I don't think this is any indication that kids are listening to terrestrial radio (though I think it goes without saying that people in all age groups, no matter how savvy, are exposed to it). The parents heard the promos and wrote down the number so their kids could think they were talking to Santa.

BTW: That guy sounds nothing like the real Santa! And can you imagine how expensive it would be to host a connection from the studio all the way to the North Pole for an hour per night? Kids sure are dumb.
