Live promo with music cuts on The Wave

I had dinner tonight in a restaurant where they had The Wave on and I found the execution of a promo interesting. The announcer did it live or recorded to sound live and included cuts of the artists performing at what I believe was a concert. It was refreshing to hear something that I had not heard done in a long time.

Is there anything interesting you've heard recently as far as execution?
 
Nothing like this lately, but I have heard this sort of thing on the WAVE before. If you go back to the 90's you could hear live contests on KRTH that had quite a few elements that the jock had to punch up. It was a great joy to hear The Real Don Steele make his way through one and do it to perfection.
 
IIRC...KTWV still does the same thing promoting the
Sunday Brunch(s)...including champagne cork popping SFX.

I heard this promo on the Web and it was very good
