I'm not sure they don't. I think Jeremy Schaap broke in live with the then breaking story of the stabbing tragedy. Assuming ESPN does have people there, they certainly don't have a lot of them.
You may have heard that SC Live would include 6-9 AM, and they subsequently dumped that idea. SC Live starts at 9 AM and looks very different from any SportsCenter past or present. It almost reminds me of First Take in a way.radioguy555 said:I personally don't think SportsCenter Live is necessary, especially after the Olympics are over. I was expecting something a little different when I tuned in Monday morning but saw basically the same show from the night before - highlights and analysis from events of the previous day.
Did the OP read the ESPNNEWS error off the score ticker, or the news bar below it? And if the former (since I would expect ESPNNEWS and ESPN to use the same system for their tickers) did SC show the final score blaring on the main screen, or on its score ticker? And that makes no sense that one network would have the final score to that game and the other wouldn't. All of the broadcasts are based out of the same building in Bristol, are they not? Maybe they did that deliberately just to get people to watch SC Live.
