Live Truck Stuck in Ice

A Live truck owned by WDJT (58/CBS) in Milwaukee got stuck in ice after the driver mistook the ice for a roadway. Everyone got out, and no one was hurt.

As of this afternoon, the truck was pulled out. I think it was a waste of resources, as most of the electronics on-board are probably ruined.

Here in Atlanta, the story was on every local newscast, complete with anchors making jokes. Guess it could be funny if because it didn't happen to them.

You'll notice WDJT's competition was on the story. Kind of ironic that they will ignore you if you are #1 and talk about you when somthing bad happens.

I did see this on national TV. The van only sunk about halfway. The electronics need to be set in a warm place for 1 week in a warm-to-hot place, and they'd be OK. Unless they were under power when immersed. It's not like it was salt water.
Most years the ice would have been thick enough to support the van, even given the mistake.
I can remember when people used to drive out on Lake Michigan, since the 80's this has not been possible.
