Can anyone tell me what is the approximate cost of a radio station in Greene or Columbia County to stream its signal online, on a monthly basis?

Cost per month is not the problem, it's the extremely high start up costs

Best deal I've found is at www.shoutatme.com

We have a 128k stereo stream with 30 slots (simutanious listeners), and they actually give us 50, for $31 per month. Then they throw in a second lower bitrate stream with the same number of users for FREE. They have other packages at lower and higher prices than that also.

This is for the streaming server only. You would still need to pay any BMI, ASCAP, Sound Exchange fees, and find a way for your stream to remove all spots announced by AFTRA talent.

Another provider I've worked with is Jetcast.com . They will also provide you with a spot replacement system (provided by spacialaudio.com) so your spot breaks can be replaced by a "web only" break which takes care of the AFTRA issue, and they also can provide the reporting data required by Sound Exchange. I believe they want roughly $200 per month.

Good luck!
