Haven't watched since Regis left.

I can understand that, it really was his show actually. Regis belongs to that era of Jack Paar, Joey Bishop, and Johnny Carson where they can sit down and have a conversation. You know that it will be a conversation that's going to be interesting, entertaining and often very relatable no matter what they are talking about. That's rare today.

Regis was on Rachel Ray's show again for the second time today. He and Rachel discussed how people can make a difference in a person's life.

He then shared a story where he was on the "Joey Bishop Show" in the late 60's and Bishop asked him to go into the studio audience and interview young people about what they wanted to do with their lives. He picked a young guy, and despite his best efforts, the guy could not relay with Regis what he wanted to do with his life.

Thirty-five years later, Regis was at a movie premiere, and that same fellow was there. He told Regis about that experience and how it made him change his life. The fellow was Steven Spielberg!

Regis made the show good. Wish he was still there to talk about notor dame doing good.

The jury is in on the selection of Michael Strahan as Kelly's co-host...and the verdict is positive. Ratings went immediately back up to where they were when Regis was on, and have stayed there. The one thing Strahan has accomplished as co-host is to change the demographics--the show's viewership is now skewing a little younger than it did before the change. So Disney is happy with how things have turned out.

It hasn't hurt that he's turned out to be a likable TV personality as well.

The guy makes all kinds of money, but he can't afford to get that gap between his teeth fixed. That is a major turn-off factor.

It hasn't hurt David Letterman or Madonna.
