Liz, ( Dont know her real namebut she is one of the first that started on Mega back in the day With The Mexicanz on klol) Well she stated she is going on vacation for a week!! What a surprise she is going to get when she comes back and there is no Mega!!
 
Mega will be around for longer than a week. A sale hasn't even been announced yet. And new owners will need time to install a new format, not to mention any physical move of the studio facilities.
 
Yeah and it takes some time for the sale to finalize, and that takes some time
 
An LMA would have the new owners take over immediately and we live in a time where a new format can be programmed from anywhere on the planet. It could be doing dry runs right now just waiting to be routed into the transmitter.
 
Maybe taking advantage of her vacation and sick days before she's terminated. ;D

No, I don't even think CC has a clear buyer yet.
 
Even after a buyer is announced, it still has to be approved. And, they will probably stick with the format initially, while they get all their ducks in a row. Liberman kept the "Jammin' Oldies" format on 98.5 and 103.3 for awhile, after they acquired them, before flipping to "La Raza".

My guess is that "Mega" will be around for at least six more months. Especially since it is doing so well in the ratings.
 
It takes a few weeks to untangle the "utilities" so to speak.
Not that I have a clue but Liz shouldn't worry.
