Liz Randolph Homeless in Philly

Hmmmmm.

Probably more to this story than meets the eye. Applied for hundreds of jobs and couldn't get one. I'd bet after filing a sexual harrassment suit, no one would touch her as an employee, especially after a stint as a defense attorney too.

Gotta agree. I'd also wager there were some BAD investments somewhere in there. If you go from 6 figures to zero in 3 years, either you invested in some really chancy things or you were living way beyond your means. (Philly ain't as cheap as Pittsburgh, kids.)

She is an attorney and her daughter is an "academic whiz". Clearly they are bright people
capable of supporting themselves. Not like someone who is a high-school dropout strung
out on drugs and booze. Something does not add up here.

I agree with the previous poster that her prior history likely scares off employers.
I can't imagine that "Litigious Former Defense Attorney" moves you to the top of many applicant piles.
She should look into starting her own business.

PSU? really?

Are you commenting on the cost or the scandal?

If it's the former, then yes, she should probably think about West Chester or one of the other state schools. Penn State isn't cheap and the daughter could get all her basics in at an SSHE school until Liz (hopefully) gets back on her feet.

If it's the latter, that really has nothing to do with anything.

Karma's a b*tch, isn't it?

I have to agree...how do you burn through that much money in such a short time? Not only that, but why on earth would you still rent? Getting a co-op or having a house you could pay cash for would at least guarantee you had a roof over your head, if nothing else.

Don't wait until you have no options to consider...act while you still have some. She evidently didn't do this.

Tell the kid to put in two years at a community college. Then transfer to a higher-ranking institution.

Woulda coulda shoulda...but I'm sure she already knows this. I hope she does land on her feet soon.
