LMC vs. New Radicals - You Get What You Give

This time I've looked around past posts before I made this one :)

Yup, it's one of those "take an rock/alternative song and lets add some beats to it" remakes but this one is actually pretty good. The rhythm of this track sounds very similar to Michael Gray's "The Weekend" and has a nice melody going with it. And yes, this is the same LMC that did the Whitney/U2 "Take Me To The Clouds Above".

Usual suspects, hop on this one. Definitely radio friendly.

I heard it first over a year ago! It grew on me a little bit, but still I don't think the song was that great. There's another version that has Rachel McFarlane on the vocals, doing away with the New Radicals.
______________

Apparently the New Radicals wouldn't approve the sample so LMC had to get it resung for commercial release. It got quite a bit of radio airplay in the UK at the start of the year, but some chose to play the original version since the new vocals are pretty appalling.
______________
