Lot's of ACs thse days say they play "feel good music" and that song would fit that definition. Plus ACs often add uptempo CHR songs after they get burned. That one seems a little extreme but I'm not totally shocked. At least they weren't playing "Sexy and I Know It" my most hated song of the 21st century so far.

Knock yourself out playing that dirge of a song. The stations playing the upbeat songs for the target audience will go on just fine.
I bet you'll be hearing it a lot in a year. We've seen it with songs like "Dynamite", "Only Girl", "I Gotta Feeling", etc - they aren't played on the AC format when they're big hits or a while after that, but after while, they make it on to the AC format.

Again, I agree. However, "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas gets lots of airplay on AC...never heard Dynamite Taio Cruz on a local AC yet, only Hot AC.

My AC is playing those aforementioned songs, as well as Cobra Starship and David Guetta/Usher. But if they can play LMFAO, then I guess Nicki Minaj isn't too far behind.

Who is your AC? David Guetta song is fine but I really question Cobra Starship. If your station is a Hot AC station, these songs are fine.
