Really? In Tampa, Bay News 9 beats all local affiliates except the Fox O&O in the morning and they beat the CBS affiliate at 5 and 6 pm. They are #1 in weather (by far). The concept isn't dead, it just has to be done right. BN9 is owned by Bright House. The Time-Warner channels are nearly as successful because the programming isn't as good.
