Local Columnist's Rant On PBS Pledge Drives

from the article said:
Now if public television could only make their pitches so I want to run to a telephone instead of from the screen.

Too bad Dr. Gene Scott's dead -- his demeanor would drum up lots of enthusiasm to race to a phone to call in your pledge.

A PBS station that still does its own pledge breaks instead of taking the pre-packaged generic ones? It's a miracle!

I can't verify the opinion since I can't watch either WHYY or WLVT anymore. But if it really is as bad on WHYY as the article suggests, they mind as well not do them live and take the generic stuff.
