Local coverage of championships

Two related questions:
--To anyone in the Kansas City area, how was the coverage of the Royals championship? When did stations go off the air Sunday night/Monday morning, and how many of them will air the parade?
--What's the standard for championship coverage in local markets? Have you seen any stations go over the top in their coverage, or have any markets with "Big Four" championships that barely noticed?

and how many of them will air the parade?
KCTV 5 (CBS) announced on their morning news (Which is streamed online via Livestream) that they'll air it live on KCTV 5 itself (Afternoon shows moved to sister station KSMO) & streamed live online as well. KWCH 12 (CBS) in nearby Wichita, KS announced they'll stream it online (No announced plans of OTA carriage)

I'd imagine the other KC & Wichita stations will do something similar

Heh - You must be from a foreign country as most people here in the states know there's no such thing as a "Uniform Standard" for this :) Seriously, it's pretty much whatever each station can do

That said, I'm kinda surprised KCTV decided to move the STILL POPULAR soap Bold & the Beautiful (And the rest of the CBS Afternoon shows) to KSMO instead of opting to air the parade on KSMO instead. I can only guess they cited RATINGS as the deciding factor (Which is understandable even though I'm hardly a TV exec :) )

Cheers :)
