What I've heard is that WHDH has a reporter there and WJAR is sending Larry Estepa there and will begin live reports tomorrow on Sunrise. I've directly contacted WLNE, suggesting that they pull out all the stops to cover the local effects (a man from Lincoln is among the dead). I told them to go live from Lincoln tonight, but more than likely, the report will be done in the newsrooom, as is unfortunately always the case.
This one was way out of proportion, but I also suggested that maybe they could send a reporter to VT. When I look at WLNE, I feel bad for the reporters. They're probably itching to go more places, but can't because due to nobody watching them, no money comes in. If they do send a reporter, I'm sadly not expecting a live report. However, I'm thankful for whatever they do.
But if they choose to blow the story altogether, the least they can do is broadcast tonight's expanded edition of World News Tonight in full, because Entertainment Tonight is really in bad taste. Honestly, do we need to hear more about Anna Nicole Smith when we just had a national tragedy?
