Yep... Got 106.5 from The golden Triangle...92.1 from Houston, 103.7 KIOL, 93.9 oldies from around corpus christi, barely pulling but got 94.7 the texas music station from corpus and the country station down in Corpus on 103.7 bleeding with KIOL... 97.5 KFNC (the new talk station) as well as 93.1/96.9/100.3/103.5 from Alexandria with 93.1 crystal clear.

The 97.5 according to radio-info is KFTX Kingsville,TX.

the classic rock on 93.7 can either be Red (I know cheap shot) or KKRW Houston.

10.6 is not in the Triangle...it is south of Houston...closer to Galveston.
103.7 and 97.5 are just west of Beaumont (closer to BMT than Houston!)..

97.5 KFNC is licensed to BMT...dont know about KFTX..

Red is not Classic Rock but Classic Hits....and its tower is a rimshot for BTR (between BTR and LFT..a C1 licensed to New Iberia)...KKRW is the Arrow and Classic Rock..

My mistake on the 106.5... I thought it was part of the golden Triangle for Liberman.. You are correct, it's a univision station licensed to Galveston My mistake...

Smashedcd was wondering about country music on 97.5..which would likely be KFTX whose COL is Kingsville but whose tower is SE of Robstown (roughly west of Corpus Christi) according to Radio-info

I knew about the new KFNC... I seemed to get it better at times than KIOL.... But I still caught what others in Texas caught with the mixing of KIOL Laporte and KOUL which is down near Corpus.

The Red reference was a joke as it's a station smasheded listens to alot, so he is very familiar with the playlist. That's why I did reference him to the CC owned KKRW in Houston which you are correct on all info. And technically KRDJ refers to them selves as classic hits, they are actually a hybred with a slight Jack type format, not a true classic hits station (which I had hoped it would be as 1990s songs are usually not on a classic hits format)

That's what I get for posting at too early in the morning for me... Thanks again CW for correcting me.

easy enough to mistake...but I would put Univision far above Liberman :)
Liberman owns 98.5 and 107.9 (and of course does NO programming for the BPT area at all)...oops wait a minute...Uni doesnt program for Port Arthur either (damn...there goes what respect I had for them; they didnt program for Winnie when they owned 100.7 either...Salem the current owner?? Forget that!!! :(

Oh ok....didnt catch that....you're right on them not being a true classic hits but when I have listened to them, they sound pretty good (better than most stuff in Texas!!! :)

I remembered hearing 106.5 in Cameron,La. That's why I thought it was a triangle station..I knew there was a reason I thought it was a triangle station.

Yeah smashedcd lives east of Baton Rouge and can catch Red almost all the time.
But on the other comment, I said it somewheres and I think it's true... For some reason, radio people just seem to like radio everywhere's else than home:) I know listening to KIOL 103.7, It had a variety I liked better than some of the stations I can catch on the bayou (houma/thibodaux)...
