Pixelation problems continue tonight on KNDU. (10/02/19). I don't know where the source of the problem is, but Charter/Spectrum is my provider. Whoever is at fault should correct this or you will lose this viewer.
It is a disaster. Tonight they didn't do their usual "weather tease" at the top of the newscast. Perhaps the recorded portion didn't get sent? Wow.
I don't understand why Monte would not move into this position. Perhaps management thinks the AM show is more important and he doesn't want anything to do with the evening 'cast. I think what we are seeing here is a strong morning show and a weaker evening show, so why would they move talent? IMO, they should shake it up and move talent. Webb should be the new evening weather talent pure and simple. But probably won't happen due to an ineffective management structure with Cowles.

Speaking of the AM show, the fact that we get Spokane news on FOX from 7-9 is just awful. Are they too cheap to put Monty and the new lady on two more hours of work/pay/viewership? KONG does this in Seattle with KING. KSKN does this in Spokane with KREM. An Ellensburg viewer really doesn't care about what happened in Post Falls, Idaho last night...neither does a Kennewick viewer.
KNDO was fine tonight, I get it off the K32IG translator. No dropouts during Wheel or Jeopardy. I would notice greatly because this translator is one of the strongest I get at my apartment. Looks like there are complaints-a-many on FB and NOBODY from KNDU is even responding to these viewers. Someone from Cowles in Spokane needs to drive down to Tri-Cities, watch an hour of KNDU's feed and promptly take action.
Meanwhile, KIMA recently hired a new reporter, Dax McCoy. I really like him so far. Nice reporting, clear voice. And he comes from this state - rather, Longview, where he did HS football play-by-play for KEDO 1400.

Tried to DVR SNL last night. Pixilation made it unwatchable. Why can't Cowles and/or Charter get this problem solved? Just embarrassing. Fortunately, found it on my Charter "On Demand". This has been an on-going issue for several weeks. This kind on-going problem will eventually affect revenue, if it hasn't already. But everyone seems to be oblivious of it. Really pitiful.
Facebook post in the 'posts to page' area says someone got in touch with KNDU and they said it was a 'fiber optic cable feed issue between us and Spokane'...sheesh does it really take 3-4 weeks to fix a fiber line? Does it actually take that long - or are they moving at the rate of the Pony Express? Embarrassing either way.
Does not seem to be affecting KNDO, as I just got the Spectrum cable hooked up here after getting a cheap hi-def TV. Was nice to watch KING 5 News last night on cable, with Paul Silvi doing what he does best - even on a Saturday night. (Spectrum failed to lift the blackout bumper at 11:00pm for KOMO...so nothing there). I notice the partial Seattle feeds on cable are in SD 480i, while Yakima is fully HD.

New Facebook comments as of last night...KNDU still having dropout/pixelization issues. Posts are almost always going unanswered. An EMBARRASSMENT for any television station let alone the NBC affiliate.
On the other hand, KFFX finally went back on DIRECTV after 8 or 9 months. But where's 23? Oh yeah, still in a hissy fit with DIRECTV. Ironic because they produce the 10pm news for KFFX...

Big college football game tonight on KNDU/KNDO, Notre Dame vs USC. Impossible to watch due to the ON-GOING pixelation problems. Time to start calling their advertisers and boycott. Seriously, this is the worst technical problem on a local tv station I have ever encountered, and I am no spring chicken. Yet, nothing seems to be addressed either on-line or on-air. It is almost is as if they don't recognize the problem, it doesn't even exist! Wow.
And have you contacted KNDU about this? Of course they'll retreat and just tell you 'we're working on it' (BS!!) This station has fallen down the toilet so badly the past couple months. It is disgusting. KEPR looks professional compared to them, and it isn't just because Tim Adams semi-retired.
But yet come on up to Yakima/Ellensburg, as KNDO's feed on Spectrum is just near perfect. Wonder how that can be...everything's based in Kennewick except Briseida Holguin and the Ahtanum Ridge transmitter!

Watched their 5p show tonight. Wow, horrific audio problems with the weather woman's mike, though kudos for putting someone on who actually lives in the market. But nobody apparently could correct it because there is nobody there to correct it! Watched Scott Daniels after this and he had a pained look on his face, in addition to his constant complaints of the cold weather here. Really? Atleast he is not directly comparing it to his last warmer Cali market.

No it was not Kaitlin. But I can't remember her name. Related: I visited my brother in San Diego this past few days and saw Mackenzie Maynard, former KNDU on ABC 10 San Diego. She seemed right in the flow.

Multiple television stations off the air in Yakima. KNDO, KAPP, KYVE. No signals OTA per Facebook posts AND no signal on cable either, at least here in Ellensburg.
KIMA was also off but apparently is back on cable at least. KCYU is fine at least.
89.5 KSOH (LifeTalk) is also off the air, can't hear a thing (usually can get a fuzzy signal).
Of course NO one at KIMA or any of the other stations saying ANYTHING on their social media or websites...fail!

Pat on the back to KAPP and KVEW for adding three new subchannels to their digital lineup - Heroes & Icons, Start TV and DABL. About time Yakima gets some new OTA subchannels to choose from.
Jeers to Spectrum for over 24 hours straight of KNDO being pixelized to death on cable channel 4. At least in Ellensburg. Can somebody get this fixed? I should call them tomorrow.

Ha, ha, ha! The spa/pool guys are back in town for their "once in a lifetime" offer, which actually has occurred atleast 4 times a year since 2016. Guess what, they finally are giving the correct name of the venue, "Hapo Center" (even saying "we are proud to be at the Hapo Center", which tells me they screwed them previously). So they got that part right, but now they have reverted to mispronouncing "Pasco", as "Pas-cow". They actually had corrected this during the last event. This is so hilarious! No matter what they do they can't seem to get it right. What an embarrassment.
BE ADVISED! And they never say the name of the company. As George Strait said about 30 years ago, "I've got some oceanfront property in Arizonaaaa..." if you believe that these Hapo Center fools are going to give you an awesome discount on a swim spa, hot tub or what have you.
